The Jayakari seahorse inhabits shallow waters in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Oman, especially areas with corals, sponges, and seagrass meadows where it can camouflage itself among the colors of the seafloor.

Small in size, reaching up to 14 centimeters in length.
A rigid body covered in bony plates, with no scales.
A tubular snout used to suck in tiny crustaceans and plankton.
The male has a brood pouch beneath his tail, where he receives the female's eggs.
They swim upright, propelled by a tiny dorsal fin that beats up to 35 times per second.

Because the seahorse reminds us that many of the rules through which we understand the world exist only in our minds. We only need to observe nature to discover that there are always other ways to live, care, and bring forth life.

Before the sea, she spent more than thirteen years working in strategy and investment.
She later left corporate life to dedicate herself fully to diving. Today she lives in Dahab, Egypt, immersed in one of the richest and most resilient marine ecosystems on the planet: the Red Sea.
She is a technical and CCR diver, underwater videographer, and content creator specializing in deep underwater exploration.
